The hotel is only two stories high so it’s not that big of an issue. It was fine for me but not sure how people with disabilities would cope with that. The hotel (as far as I could see) didn’t have an elevator. The indoor pool was usable but wasn’t maintained. We were there just to get a good night sleep for two nights. I understood during the current climate that staff is hard to come by so I expected it. During check-in, I was told all the things that weren’t available. The room was clean with a little musty smell when you first walk in. This hotel was 70 miles from Bristol and the rate was good. I was traveling for a nascar race in Bristol Tennessee. All things considered, this was a nice place to stay and we will certainly consider staying there again.… As crazy as people are these days, I elected not to complain to the hotel, or to the offending guests, since we were staying only overnight. I will say that some of the other guests were loud and obnoxious, carrying on conversations in the hallway rather than their rooms, and at least one room had a barking dog, but the hotel is not responsible for the bad manners and poor pet parenting of the guests. The only complaints I have about the room itself are 1) one of the towels had gray stains on it (hopefully stains and not fresh dirt) and 2) housekeeping needs to be instructed that the bathroom floor behind the toilet needs to be scrubbed now and then. The bed was a bit uncomfortable but acceptable.
For the most part, it was very clean, the pool area was quite nice. I was pleasantly surprised by this Red Roof Inn. We've had several disappointing stays at budget hotels in Knoxville, so I wasn't expecting much this time.
